The Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa, a 300-acre property in San Antonio, Texas, has debuted five new villas bringing the resort's total to 522 guest rooms.
"The addition of our new villas brings an enhanced level of luxury and flexibility to the resort," said Steven J. Smith, general manager of the Hyatt. "These accommodations were thoughtfully designed to feel like a home away from home, with spacious accommodations surrounded by beautiful Hill Country scenery, and exclusive amenities that make every stay truly memorable."
Premium villas now available
The resort's five new secluded villas are named after historic Hill Country rivers: Guadalupe, Nueces, Brazos, San Saba and Pecos. Each 2,336-square-foot villa features four bedrooms, including two king bedrooms and two rooms with double queen beds. The rooms feature private bathrooms with soaking tub and walk-in showers, a patio with outdoor seating, and upscale in-room amenities. The shared spaces include a spacious living room, a fully equipped kitchen, and an outdoor lounge and dining area with a firepit.
Villa guests will receive a VIP welcome amenity, 24-hour text access to the Villa Host Team, twice-daily housekeeping services, enhanced in-room dining options, convenient golf cart transportation to other areas of the resort and more. Additionally, villa guests will have access to the private pool and relaxing amenities at the adjacent Windflower Spa, which will also unveil a complete renovation this spring.
New indoor-outdoor event venue
This fall, the resort will unveil a new indoor-outdoor event venue that will overlook the Crystal Lagoon that is being added to the property's swimming options. The 5,600-square-foot event barn will feature high-vaulted ceilings with exposed wood beams, and large windows and glass doors, providing an abundance of natural light and beautiful views. Surrounded by live oaks, the facility will open to a patio and event lawn perfect for a cocktail hour or corporate event.
Crystal Lagoon to debut in early 2026
In the new year, the resort will introduce a 2.2-acre water feature powered by Crystal Lagoons technology. The man-made pool area will be surrounded by white sandy beaches and private cabanas, and will offer a variety of water sports and a poolside food-and-beverage venue. The lagoon joins the resort's existing outdoor pools, its two-story water slide, the lazy river and the FlowRider wave simulation machine.
Part of ongoing resort enhancements
In 2023, the resort completed a full renovation of all guest rooms and suites, as well as interior event ballroom and meeting spaces. The updated guest rooms feature new hardwood flooring, updated technology including 65-inch ultra-high-definition televisions, new walk-in showers, and artwork that reflects the resort’s history as the Rogers Wiseman Ranch. From new carpeting and wall coverings to upgraded lighting and sound systems, the property features a lighter, brighter ambience throughout.
Additionally, in 2024, the resort updated its on-site dining outlets, including its signature steak house, Antlers Lodge; the Cactus Oak Tavern; and Charlie’s Long Bar. A new indoor/outdoor bar in the lobby called Woodbine Bar also debuted, offering a menu of signature cocktails.
