Hilton and Wine Country Hospitality Partners have announced the development of the Waldorf Astoria Texas Hill Country, coming to Fredericksburg in 2027. The sprawling property will feature 60 guest rooms and suites, as well as 37 resort villas eligible for the rental pool as 74 additional keys, and 50 residences. The resort will offer five food-and-beverage outlets, an 11,000-square-foot spa and fitness center, two resort-style pools, and more.

“Waldorf Astoria Texas Hill Country’s signing marks a monumental milestone for Hilton and is integral to both our growth in the state, which represents Hilton’s largest hotel portfolio in the U.S., and the Hilton luxury-brands portfolio's expansion across the Americas,” said Amy King, vice president of luxury and mixed-use development for the hotel giant.

Less than a mile from downtown Fredericksburg, the Waldorf Astoria Texas Hill Country will be a central location for visitors looking to indulge in the beauty of Texas Hill Country — the most popular wine-tasting destination in the state, one of the  most visited wine regions in the United States and home to more than 100 wineries. The city's picturesque setting is just 75 miles west of Austin and 65 miles northwest of San Antonio.

Lone Star State design

A collaboration of several design companies is creating the property's look. Accommodations will feature authentically Texan design elements with views of the surrounding Hill Country. The resort villas that will be available for guest rentals will have private plunge pools and outdoor courtyards.

"Throughout my career, I’ve always looked to create destinations with a true sense of place that invite in new and tenured patrons to experience it through a new lens," said Mark Harmon, one of the members of Wine Country Hospitality Partners. "With Waldorf Astoria Texas Hill Country, we’re drawing upon the unique architecture and history of Fredericksburg to create a new experience that opens this budding wine destination to travelers."
